About the event
11:00 am -12:00 pm Master Classes in Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Rhythm Section (Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums) and Vocals Bring your Instruments!!
12:00 pm -1:15 pm Experiencing jazz through improvisation. Bring Your instruments!!
2:00 pm -4:00 pm Concert featuring Vacaville High School, Will C. Wood High School, Dixon High School, and Vanden High School and members of the Sac State Jazz Studies department. Additional performances by Alina Adams Music School, The Dixon Dancers and Marion Oliver's Music School.
This year will be special as the Vacaville Jazz Society is partnering with Duncan McElman, along with other members of the Sacramento State Jazz Studies department. This new partnership will provide students access to world-class instruction and hands-on experience to musicians of any ability level on improvisation and jazz performance techniques.
