Youth Band Camp Program
We work with our Solano County Vacaville Library to bring our community youth free music camps that is offered each summer. We continue to bring Vacaville a free Vacaville Jazz Festival, on Sept. 20th, 21st & 22nd located at various locations in Downtown Vacaville, Vacaville Performing Arts Theater & Nut Tree Plaza.This allows our community school music groups the opportunity to perform and continue to develop appreciation and skill. This Festival event will educate the public on the history of the music we perform.
Band Camp: Readies Students for Jazz Festival
Beginning near the end of August, the All-Volunteer Vaca Jazz Society will once again offer music students, grades 7-12, a FREE opportunity to learn about jazz, improvisation, jazz theory.
Last year we had the opportunity to bring in the world-renowned jazz vocalist Tiffany Austin and the USAF Air Force Band of the Golden West "Commanders Jazz Ensemble" as well as local professional musicians.
