Our Mission:
Save Our Music
This volunteer effort is a labor of love for many local
musicians and business owners who give of their time and resources to bring quality, family-friendly entertainment to Solano County residents.
This mission includes promoting the multi-cultural heritage of Music's ancestors and derivatives to preserve Music's roots and honor its assimilation of "global rhythms".
The Vaca Jazz Society promotes the universal language of Music through live performances, education, and enthusiastically advocating support for our music educators and dedicated artists.
VJS maintains programs which practice, perform, and promote all music, with an emphasis in America's Jazz Roots; educating the public about our African and Southern black church heritage with folk influences; providing free supplementary music programs in partnerships with the public library; and holding camps, clinics, library concerts, and events such as our Vaca Jazz Festival.
