YACM was founded in April 2005 by long time piano instructor Wanda Cook. After building a private music studio in her living room and garage, of over 70 students, Cook wanted to bring the positive effects of music education to as many youths as possible. Today YACM is the largest most respected pre-college arts education organization in the North Bay Region. YACM produces over 60 live music events a year. In 2010 the YACM adopted Solano Youth Chamber Orchestra and Founded Music Matters in the Public Schools. By 2014, Solano Youth Chamber Orchestra became the only regional youth orchestra to perform professional works. We invest in the unlimited potential of youth through private lessons, classes, and performances. We also offer quality music instruction in schools.

The doors to Pure Grain Bakery officially opened in the spring of 1991. Since its doors opened, Pure Grain Bakery has been very successful, serving clients ranging from small corner cafes to large, university campuses. Much of its success is due to its employees and its valued customers.

Today, the County Library serves six of the seven cities in the County – Dixon,  Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville and Vallejo. Benicia has its own library but is partners with the County Library in providing an online catalog and databases to all County residents. The Solano County Library is thriving. From five libraries in 1990, it has grown to nine. Most of the libraries have been modernized with a focus on quick, convenient customer service, good collections of books, movies, music and more: nice furnishings, up-to-date technology and a place for people to come, browse, relax, read and discuss the topics of the day.
